Elliott Erwitt -was born in 1928 in France in the family of immigrants from Russia, and when he was 10, his parents moved to the USA. He began his career as a photographer in the 50′, working as an assistant photographer in the US Army. His works were noticed then and since 1953 he started working as a freelancer, doing photos for magazines like Collier’s, Look, Life. Somewhere in the 70’s his career took a sudden twist and he preferred to work with moving images – in filmmaking. But he never stopped photography, and kept publishing new albums of his works, the latest of which came out in 2005.
