Party Photos

Party Photos

The author is 18-year-old Marty Bell. Not too bad for a novice (as he said himself). It’s evidently not easy to make photos on wild parties and catch the faces of people having fun. By the way, Marty does a great job. He conveys the atmosphere and with a minimum of drunk faces. Although all people are so funny when they’re dancing. Here are the pictures from the SWITCH party in SNAFU club.

Miss World

Miss World

In the end of each year there are many awards, contests, ceremonies etc. Between all these events I would point out Miss World, Olympic Games, and, I think, Oscar. Ksenia Sukhinova got the title of Miss World 2008. So here are the pictures of some Miss World participants of 2008.

Moleskine Calendar

Moleskine Calendar

Moleskine is a series of planners and notebooks, made mostly for creative people. Every stationery fan (and I am one of them) is just dying to buy a Moleskine, especially a Japanese one with folded sheets. Moleskine owners once got together and made a calendar of their drawings.

Fantastic Realism

Fantastic Realism
Complicated detailed sculptures from Kris Kuksi with a variety of styles, definitions and simply opinions, and in the end you get marvelous works. This type of art is called Fantastic Realism and Kuksi separates its meaning on psychological, religious, ideological and esthetical problems.

Sand Castles

Sand Castles
One of the most popular beach activities, except basketball and vollyeball is building sand castles. In our selection they treat this thing very seriously. Those works can easily be called sculptures. Sand sculptures would be the best name for them. They recreated in the sand such things as Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and lots of others. By the way, sand sculptures exhibitions take place annually in different countries and different continents. So each of you can participate in any expo somewhere close to home. And look at the selection, I’m sure it’ll be interesting.

Unusual Dresses

Unusual Dresses
Designers are not satisfied with usual fabrics: they have already demonstrated dresses of paper and flowers. But Croatian designers went further and made a dress from…condoms! And they even thought of making a dress of hair! Here’s some information on it: to make a dress, Artidjana Company needed almost 50 meters of light hair. During Croatian fashion week in Zagreb this dress was demonstrated by Croatia beauty queen Simona Gotovach. And for now let’s look at the condoms :)

Paper Models

Paper art, that’s what I should call these works, and it’s not just origami. Even though origami is great, too, but we’re not speaking about it now. The treasurers of hand made should like this selection a lot. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the author’s website and his name. It would be interesting to look at his other works, if there are any. And for now let’s enjoy what we have.

Incredible

Ron Myek is a hyperrealistic artist. He opened a gallery of his incredible sculptures in London. The works describe people, in absolute precision and huge scales – their gestures, emotions, and somewhere – their ugliness. If you have weak nerves, you’d better not watch this. Full news has a little information about Myek and his works, and also all the pictures I was able to find.

Apple Sculptures

We probably won’t understand this but it’s nice to look at those wonderful apple sculptures. Did anyone ever have such ideas? I, for one, have gathered chewed gum in a form and made a pyramid. What about you, my dear visitors?

Marylin Manson

If haven’t heard of it, then let me tell you that Marylin Manson has come to Russia (namely, to Moscow). Now we’re having an expo of his paintings. And, of course, we can’t expect from Manson Van Gogh-style paintings. He was once asked: “Why don’t you paint something sweet, like flowers?” And so he did :) You can see how that turned out in the full news. And if you’re interested in Marylin’s paintings, you should visit his website. It has more than a hundred paintings. But brace yourself before you watch them, they’re kinda scary.

150 Valentine Cards

It’s never too late for a good idea, so I’ll say “So What”, and share this with you tongue The story has it that Marina (the author) opened her e-mail list and decided to give a unique and personal Valentine card to everyone she knew. At first there were 125 people on the list, but then the number grew to 150. Lot’s of work, but the idea itself is really great. Remember it and look :)

2005 Calendar

A 2005 calendar for a network of fitness-clubs World Class. The photographer is Vlad Loktev. I imagine how many shots he had to take before the perfect one was made. And it seems to me that the pictures look better in the small size. It gives a bigger outlook on all of them.

Gabriele Rigon

Gabriele mainly creates masterpiece photos with nudes. Besides, I quote “Naked women’s body is percepted by me as the most beautiful nature’s gift. I’m so engaged into this aesthetics that I’m doing the best I can to transfer my emotions into photographs”. Nudes can be seen on Gabriel’s website. But I suggest looking at a series of fashion pictures. This is not just glance pictures and emotionless models on the podium. Those are backstage photos.

Flashmob

Do you know what this is? Let me explain: a crowd of people gathers to do something that’s stupid but looks very original. For example, a 1000 people are trying to move a building by pushing as hard as they can. Have you imagined this? Now, that’s a flashmob :) In Moscow they used to blow bubbles in Arbat street in spring. Here’s a selection of pictures from those events. I’m liking it :)
