The Art of Painting

The Art of Painting

Creative people often think how to present a simple idea in a new light. That’s how Joanna Kustra (UK) decided to try to make paintings out of photos. She emphasized the makeup and the clothes in the style of the 17th century. Of course, this is modern vision, so Joanna can’t be punished for some incorrect details.

Decadence

Decadence

I won’t go into the details of decadence. I’ll just turn to one of its directions – a mix of gothics and glamour. The author is Alyz from France. Her photos can even be called glamour, they’re too reserved for gothics. Alyz gets inspired by Tokyo Decadence (not the movie). This is something like freak parties, and they’re very popular in Tokyo, probably because Japan is so open to everything crazy, even though freaks and club characters aren’t a phenomenon anymore.

Young Photomodels

Young Photomodels

A photomodel almost always wants to be on both sides of the camera. Naglis Bierancas from Lithuania. Of course, his personal photoworks have much more freedom of mind, than glamour photoportraits in the classical sense. And these are the works we’re going to look at now. They are bright, live and understandable.

Experimentalist

Experimentalist

Sakir Yildirim – is a photographer-experimentalist. He’s a person who just wants to share his work with the world, he’s not interested in standards and rules of photoshooting. Here we can look at his Conceptual Photography series. Conceptual photos are usually very posed. Even if it seems that the picture makes no sense, it usually has a huge text that describes it. That’s how it should be, but Sakir doesn’t comment his works and he doesn’t expect it from others.

Wedding

Wedding

A small photostudio (High Art Wedding Photography Company) is on wheels and ready to arrive anywhere in the world to shoot wedding pictures for the client. A very good business approach, indeed. Officially the studio is in New York. What made me like this? When you look at any wedding photos, you see the same boring shots and angles. Of course, this is more of an organizational question, but a lot depends on the photographer, as well. These photos are from a wedding of a young couple in the beach of Mexico.

Ghana

Ghana

Rather simple pictures, partly showing the life of African people in the present. The photos were taken in the small village of Ghana, and they belong to a German photographer Jonas Feige. Ghana is a Western-African country. The author didn’t say why he chose to take pictures of Ghana and these people. But the attraction of a European to Africa is easy to explain – it seems like a totally different world and different people. And the girl is beautiful.

Invisible

Invisible

The photographer is a girl from Estonia. She’s only got friends for models now. But I should mention that her friends know how to pose for photos. The editing is really nice, the photos turn out to be cold. And the presence of bright colors somehow doesn’t change this impression at all. And there’s something of emo-style in those photos. But it’s not that important.

Redhead Photos

Red-head Photos

We’ve got a very nice photosession here, that the author named Emily Kiely. That’s probably the model’s name. Summer, light dresses and a skinny model with fiery-red hair. By the way, on some pictures the eyes are slightly irrealistic. The author says that was the idea. There is no more radical editing here.

Forest Photos

Forest Photos

The author is Hugh Schneider from Germany. He only likes taking pictures of nature. It might seem too simple, but you just look at these amazing photos of the forest. It’s live and barely touched nature. Oh, yeah. Such photos can be made only in a guarded forest zone, where vandals (and some people are vandals by their nature) can’t come. And that’s where they’ve been made.

Last Train

Last Train

A selection of photos themed by trains and stations. It’s not surprising that almost every photographer wants to make a series of photos on a railway station. It’s always very sad there. And for some reason you get to say goodbye to your friends more often then meet them. Or maybe we remember saying goodbye better than greetings.

Naked Series

Naked Series

Today a Naked Series by a fashion photographer Jake Garn is in the center of attention. Such photos are related to fashion but they stand way out of its line. Jake is known for his love for golded proportion of beauty and he even builds some of his photos according to this proportion. He’s an interesting photographer.

Color

Color

Do you have bad mood? Then open your eyes wide and let the waves of color reach your brain to light the lamps of positive emotions. Gordon McBryde has lots of very bright photos in stock for us. Of course, there is some Photoshop in them, but we don’t need to know the details. Let’s look.

Panda Pictures

Panda Pictures

A selection of panda pictures. Today it’s going to be about bamboo bear. A black and white bear in different variations: photos, pictures, paintings, parodies etc. I think everybody knows that the panda is the symbol of World Wild Nature Foundation. And it apparently owes it to its cute face. The foundation’s founder just saw this nice and sweet animal in the zoo and decided to make its image a logo.

Pocket Watch

Pocket Watch

Pocket watches are out of fashion. But I think it’s too bad. They are very aesthetic and remind of old England. As a rule, such a wathc is given as a souvenir for some achievements and then they gather dust for decades. In the post you’ll find a selection of pictures of pocket watches. I’ve started wanting these myself.

Glam Photos by RUST2D

Glam Photos by RUST2D

Glam photos by RUST2D studio. It seems, the studio works mainly with photoshoots, although they do all kinds of graphics work. You can find a lot of interesting photos in their portfolio. I was especially interested in the nude series. But to be honest, I’ve had some doubts, so I decided to share with you glamour photos.

Black Tulip

Black Tulip

I think the most popular festival in the world is the tulip festival. It usually takes place in all countries with the necessary climate. And, of course, it is widely celebrated in the tulips’ birthplace – Holland. It wouldn’t be interesting to look at pictures of regular tulips. So here’s a selection of black tulips. They’re not completely black, they’re sooner dark blue and dark purple. They almost aren’t grown, it’s a very decorative breed.

Clowns Pictures

Clowns Pictures

When most people hear the word clown, they imagine an angry man with lots of makeup. Well, most people don’t like clowns and sometimes are even afraid of them. Despite everything mentioned above, here is a selection of pictures of kind clowns. Well, at least they aren’t scary.

One Face

One Face

One face, one photographer, one author. Simple but nice photographs. And the author has it for making the face and head more heavy with different objects to decorate it. And this gives a whole new sense to everything. Despite the feeling “I’ve seen it all before”, you should at least scroll down the series of photos.

Paris, the Eiffel Tower

Paris, the Eiffel Tower

Which associations do you have with Paris? The Eiffel Tower, romance, mimes, street caffees… Let’s talk about the first association in detail. The Eiffel Tower was officially open in 1889, on the 31st of March. And still, thanks to the ton of paint, that support its state, the Tower brings us joy. I hope you’ll see the spirit of Paris, just like I did. While I was making this selection, I was dying to go to Paris. An interesting fact: in 1926 a fraud managed to sell the Tower for scrap metal twice :)

White Tiger

White Tiger

You’ve probably seen these photos. But here’s some history behind the pictures. In one of San-Francisco’s parks the tiger was trained to dive under water – just to show the audience that tigers can swim. A lump of meat was thrown into the pool, and the tiger jumped after it. Sergey Bidun just took pictures of a diving tiger through the pool’s glass. And that’s how these wonderful photos turned out. A scary animal :)

Day and Night

Day and Night

I’ve somehow started thinking about the confrontation of two opposites: dark and light, day and night, evil and kind. But it’s actually not a confrontation but a union.

Photo Dolls

Dolls Photos

I don’t know anything in French so I have no information about the author except that she’s 29 and is from France. But I’ve enjoyed watching the whole gallery of the dolls’ photos. Of course, they are very special. It’s not BDSM, but not too innocent. The photos are in one style, which makes them look like a series. I especially enjoyed non-standard angles for such small models.

Sexy Mashup

Sexy Mashup

This is for novice designers. Once you decide you want to be a designer, move only in that direction and don’t walk anywhere else. Then you might be one of the top designers of the country, and then you’ll get European recognition. Pete Harrison is one of the leading designers in Britain. He finished his education and started creating right away. He’s got his own clothes shops, worked with Dolce & Gabbana, made CD covers. It’s all very serious. He’s simply able to catch the fashion wave at the right time. The series of works is called Sexy Mashup. It’s all understandable without explanations.

Trefoil

Trefoil

It was St. Partic’s day in Ireland not long ago. The symbol of this event, as well as the symbol of Ireland itself, is the trefoil. Famous Leprecon in a green suit and with a jar of coins is also one of the holiday’s symbols. He’s the one representing St. Patric.

Crazy Hatmaker

Crazy Hatmaker

It’s hard to say what was the first occupartion of this photoartist – portrait photo or hat design. Nevertheless, both these activities united as one. The photos come out very fulfulled and with interesting details. Everything from makeup to image editing was done by the author, Ipek Yaylacioglu (Turkey). I even think she looks like Amy Lee from Evanescence (the second picture).

Sunglasses

Sunglasses

Get your eyes ready for the bright sun and buy a fashion accessory – sunglasses. Retro style is in style now, and large round sunglasses are also trendy. Below you’ll find a selection of pictures and photos with sunglasses. As you can see, plastic frames of different colors is the latest trend now. Although this is only a matter of taste.

Photo Plots

It’s always interesting to look at photos with plots. You need more time to see all the details. So your imagination will have some seconds to make the shot open up. Such artistic photos with plots are created in a family studio Winter Wolf Studios.

Swords

Swords

Lots of people feel some trembling when they look at sharp coled weapons. This is probably the awakening of our genetic memory about long-gone and bloody fights of our predecessors for land and possessions. And the soul wants to fight! Here is a selection of different pictures, 3D models and photos with swords.

School Days

School Days

Schools will be out fairly soon. My only piece of advice to this year’s graduates is to be brave. You’ve got exams, nerves, possibly moving ahead of you. You need to survive through a very complicated summer. So here’s a series of photos by Danial Munir called School Days. Danial and his friends don’t look like high school students at all, but they conveyed the emotions in a right way.
