Schools will be out fairly soon. My only piece of advice to this year’s graduates is to be brave. You’ve got exams, nerves, possibly moving ahead of you. You need to survive through a very complicated summer. So here’s a series of photos by Danial Munir called School Days. Danial and his friends don’t look like high school students at all, but they conveyed the emotions in a right way.
When I was a kid, I really liked to look at frost in the corners of a window. I couldn’t even think of taking pictures of this beauty, because cameras were so rare, and I didn’t know a thing about their technical characteristics. But now you can take a good quality shot of a snowflake. And that’s exactly what billyunderscorebwa did with the help of two of his cameras: Canon PowerShot and Canon Digital Rebel.
When you find really interesting works, whether they’re photos or pictures, you need to define a category for them. For example, Milkboxer girls. Everything has a definite style, but it’s hard to say what style it is. Is it emo? They are usually offended by this. It looks a little like New Wave in modern way. At least the style of the models is this.
It was once fashionable to take pictures with digital cameras. When everyone had a digital camera, it became fashionable to take pictures with film cameras and Polaroids. Does anybody still have them? The digital cameras brought so much fun and comfort into our lives. Now you don’t have to get ready for the last shot of film, and then wait for 2 days to get 36 photos, and on half of them you had your eyes closed. But I’m getting to Polaroid, which was used to make a series of photographs of a girl named 333bracket, plus some Photoshop. By the way, did you know that there are digital Polaroids that print pictures without any additional devices?
I think you’ll agree with me that staircases have something hypnotic to them. Whether you are standing on the first or the tenth floor, you’re tempted to look how the stairs twist around something invisible. And people have a tendency to capture everything they can’t understand. This is the second selection of staircases.
Milo Ventimiglia has been in the cinema world for about 10 years, but he became really famous after Heroes where he starred as Peter Petrelli. From the first episodes female audience was won over by this amazing young man. His looks are very nice, and he looks more like a model. Photographers are fighting to have a photosession wih Milo, and we’ll evaluate the result now. I’ll post two photosessions by unknown authors.
So you open our blog, and a large blue-gray eye looks at you from there. The photos are by a successful British photographer/director/publicist Rankin. The idea of such pictures is not new at all, I’ve seen them in school. Nature is the best artist. Only a few colors, but it’s so beautiful. You must have seen something similar, too. But in case you haven’t….
Let’s get to the eyes’ theme (and particularly beautiful eyes) with neodecay’s photographs. The creatures, objects and whole worlds that live in the eyes, are a little scary, but it’s perfectly made, a photomanipulation of high quality. It’s mainly Photoshop and a couple of effects. You probably won’t notice how hard it is to make such pictures, but it’s good.
My sister inspired me to make this selection. I think today a selection of pictures with a hangover theme hits the nail right on the head. Besides, it’s a tradition. Those who drink little at New Year’s or don’t drink at all, should laugh at those dying from a hangover and beg for some water
by the way, animals sometimes have rough mornings, too. That’s OK, you’ll feel all right in no time.
You should definitely visit this author’s blog. At least because I can’t fit all his creations into one post, even ten wouldn’t be enough. He’s got not just drawings, and not drawn invasions to a photo (and they are very lively). An idea prevails here. Each picture has its own meaning. And it’s nicer to look at them while reading the comments tebe-interesno. But you need time for that. If you just scroll through them, you’ll get nothing of it and won’t get inspired.
A selection of staircases. Did you know that the most famous staircase is at the entrance to the huge Vatican museum? The title picture is an edited photo of museum’s stairs. It was built in 1932. We don’t know who or when invented the first staircase, but we know one thing for sure – the Medieval ages gave us a wonderful construction that is still popular.
A fashion-photographer can turn usual swim-caps into a fashion accessory (in the frame of the project, of course) by adding the needed color to make-up. I couldn’t pass this photosession. Plastic acid Swimcaps are screaming for your attention. We just have to deal with our feelings – whether we like them or not. The photographer is Olivier from New-York.
When a photographer likes to take his own pictures, he always reserves the most interesting ideas for self-portraits. And it’s hard to blame them for this. Everyone can use his their ideas as they please. So in the series of photos by Katarzyna Napiorkowska from Poland the most unusual pictures are among self-portraits.
This is the 36th Pirelli calendar. It was made by Peter Burd who lived in Kenia for 30 years, which made its impact on his photos. The main theme of the calendar was ecology. Even the paper was ecologically clean. It wasn’t easy for models selected for the calendar, because the location was one of the few remaining virginal Africa spots, and it was very wild. The calendar’s slogan is “Beauty will save the world”. Well, here is this beauty for you to see. I wonder whether you will like it.
I love receiving greetings. But not mass ones, when all people are blended into a smiling heap and one greeting is not different from the others. I love them when they’re personal: individually made postcard, hand-wrapped present. I love when they are not boring. If you are interested in gift-wrapping and postcards, you should turn to professionals. For example to those in the Design Lovely Blog. One theme – celebration, and lots of inspiring ideas.
