Jessica Alba supports Safe Chemicals Act
London, Nov 17 (ANI): Actress Jessica Alba is pressurizing U.S. politicians to enforce stricter regulations for chemicals used in household products.
The Sin City star is supporting the Safe Chemicals Act, a bill that would require more thorough safety tests on substances used in consumer items.
Since becoming a mum, Alba has become increasingly concerned about toxic chemicals and is urging senators meeting at a hearing on Thursday to pass the legislation.

"I just gave birth to my second child, and I can tell you that there is no stronger instinct for a mom then (sic) wanting to protect her kids and keep them safe. My children have... made me conscious of every product I buy, from toys to mattresses to cleaning products...," Daily Star quoted her as saying in a blog for the Huffington Post.
"There is no requirement that the chemicals used in consumer products be tested for safety, even if they're used in products made for children...
